What’s the venue layout like?

The Laser Craft Market will be held on the ground floor of the Metropolitan Pavilion in NYC. The majority of the floor will be dedicated to craft vendor booths, and we'll have a separate area for our event sponsors in the same space. The market is indoors, air conditioned, and has an accessible entrance ramp.

Note: the map above is a sample trade show style layout provided by Metropolitan Pavilion. It reflects the space, vendor tables, relative sponsor booth sizes, and concessions location details, but our layout will slightly differ.

What's included in the purchase of a vendor booth?

Each vendor ticket provides access for two people to the event for each day, a 10’x10’ floor area, and an 8’ long table. You may decline the table. There are no walls/curtains included to separate you from other booths, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Will I have access to power?

There are multiple outlets throughout the event space, but we cannot guarantee that your booth will have nearby access. Power will be shared among booths, and use is limited to low-current devices such as phone chargers or LED lights.

Can I sell a laser product that wasn’t made using LightBurn?

Absolutely! Although the event will feature plenty of LightBurn branding, we want to showcase the full range of amazing creations made with lasers, regardless of the software used.

Does my work have to be make with a laser?

The focus of the Laser Craft Market is on items made using a laser cutter or engraver. If you make and sell multiple types of items, please make sure that, overall, your booth is focused on your laser-made work, and remember that laser crafting is at the heart of our event.

What is the capacity of the space?

There is space for more than 60 vendors, and the market area has a maximum capacity of 1500 attendees at one time.

Will LightBurn be promoting the market?

Yes, we'll be heavily promoting the event on social media and through local advertising. If there are advertising opportunities you’d like to suggest, please reach out to LBX@LightBurnSoftware.com

Can I use my laser on-site?

No. Given the challenges of eye protection and ventilation, laser use on-site will be restricted to LightBurn staff and approved sponsors.

Can I attend LBX classes while I run my booth?

Your vendor ticket does not include LBX access. If you wish to do both, you’ll need to purchase an attendee ticket for yourself and a vendor ticket for the people manning your booth. If your application is accepted, you'll receive a $25 discount code for LBX tickets in your confirmation email.

Am I allowed to sell weapons?

Sorry, no. We know many of our users work with weapons like guns, pocket knives, and axes, but due to local laws and venue restrictions, we can’t have any of these in the event space. If you’d like to showcase your work with these items, please feel free to bring photos.

Are there any restrictions on the visual content of products?

Yes. Please refrain from selling items containing divisive political messaging or offensive imagery. We recognize that this is an area where reasonable people might disagree, but please err on the side of caution. Anything that might start a heated discussion in mixed company, or that you wouldn’t want children to see, is out of bounds. Will there be food?

There will be concessions available for purchase in the event space. The venue is in the heart of Manhattan, so there is endless variety — a Paradox of Food Choices — all within walking distance and beyond.

Can I vend my table alone?

Yes, but we really don’t recommend that. Your vendor ticket provides access for two people to run your booth.

Are there any types of vendors you will not welcome?

We will check over all vendor applications, and reserve the right to reject any that do not suit our event. Vendors may be rejected for having insufficient focus on laser-made goods, being an information-only booth, a multi-level-marketing/pyramid scheme, creating goods that contribute to discrimination and violence, or for any other reason, at our sole discretion.
